Alejandro Guardia, Jr. has been a performer, composer, and educator for the better part of 2 decades. His upbringing in the culturally diverse music scene of South Florida has allowed many experiences past the standard Classical Musician. Mr. Guardia is fluent in Jazz, Rock, and Latin music. This influence is evident in many of his compositions for Tuba Quartet like Overtown Throwdown, Mofongo Relleno, and Excursions (Potenza Music). Aside from being a freelance Trombonist, Alejandro is the Principal Euphonium of South Florida’s professional wind band, the Miami Wind Symphony. A position that he has held since 2011.
