As Worship Pastor of Centenary United Methodist Church, Scott Heersche oversees all worship related church initiatives. In addition to leading Sunday morning worship, he directs the Chancel Choir, heads up the worship ministries team, and actively writes and arranges new music for worship. Having been raised in Lexington, Scott is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Music, and holds a Masters in Trumpet Performance from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Scott has served as Director of Worship Arts for Hay Street Church in Fayetteville, NC, and previously served on Centenary’s staff as Associate Director of Music. In addition to his work with the church, Mr. Heersche is an adjunct faculty member at Transylvania University where he teaches applied trumpet. He has also served on the faculties of UK as Interim Professor of Trumpet, and on staff with Methodist University (Fayetteville, NC), and Centre College (Danville, KY).
