Born in Tokyo in 1982.

After graduating from Seikei Elementary, Junior High, and High School, she entered the Jazz Course at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, graduating at the top of her class in 2005. In the same year, she released her debut album, Ichiban no Shiawase, from Pony Canyon. Her ninth album, Sings & Plays (2019), marked her first vocal album.

In October 2025, she will release her 11th album, Brain Candy, on the Diskunion Kamnabi label.

Her musical activities extend far beyond jazz: she has appeared as a featured soloist on recordings by Tatsuro Yamashita, Mariya Takeuchi, Yuji Toriyama, Hajime Mizoguchi, and others.
